Community Foundation of Pulaski County Gets $100,000 Board Engagement Grant

The generosity of the Community Foundation of Pulaski County’s board members has unlocked another $100,000. As part of the Lilly Endowment’s GIFT VII initiative, every community foundation that had 100 percent of its board members give between January of 2019 and June of 2020 was eligible to get a $100,000 per county served. That money can be used for any charitable purpose that the foundation chooses.

Pulaski County Council to Continue Discussing Courthouse Renovation Tonight

The proposed renovation of the Pulaski County Courthouse and expansion of the Justice Center will continue to be discussed during tonight’s county council meeting. The estimated $7.7 million project would add a security checkpoint to the north entrance of the courthouse, while Circuit Court would move out of the building and into an expanded Justice Center.

Community Foundation of Pulaski County to Continue Moving Forward with Winamac Pool Project

Winamac Pool Committee to Discuss Next Steps During Public Informational Meeting

Winamac Park Board to Discuss Pool Funds, Veteran’s Memorial Park Improvements

What to do with $135,000 raised for Winamac’s swimming pool rebuilding project is expected to be discussed during tonight’s Winamac Park Board meeting. That money was raised through private donations and fundraisers, and placed in a fund at the Community Foundation of Pulaski County. But now that the town has pulled its official support of the project, the park board has to decide what its next steps will be.

Winamac Pool Fundraiser to Take Place this Evening, as Confusion Remains About Project’s Future

The Winamac Pool Committee continues to raise money for the town’s swimming pool rebuilding project, but confusion remains about how exactly the project will proceed. A fish fry fundraiser is taking place this evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Winamac VFW. The need for private fundraising has increased in recent weeks, after the Town of Winamac pulled its official support.
