WKVI Spearheads Community Clean-Up

depotWKVI is teaming up with former Knox Mayor Nancy Dembowski to clean up the community. Appropriately we are starting with the first thing everybody sees when the roll into town, the Train Depot visitor center across from Wythogan Park.

This week on Wednesday, join us at the depot from 4 until 6 pm equipped with your gloves, rakes, shovels and any other items that will assist with the clean up. The grounds really just need a sprucing up. Take pride in your town by showing up to help out. Visit the WKVI Facebook page for further information.

National Farmers Market Week Encourages Locals to Support Locals

06-05-14 Farmer's Market pictureThere’s only a few more months left for prime Farmers Market season. The Knox Farmers Market runs until Halloween and then they close up for the year. In an effort to highlight the importance of farmers markets across the country on Saturday, August 1st U.S Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the start of the 16th annual Farmers Market Week. Incredible Causes will Benefit from Spirit of Pulaski County Proceeds

st0pThe annual Spirit of Pulaski County, formerly known as Germanfest, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8 this year at the Train Depot in downtown Winamac. During the event, the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a spirit ride and spirit walk in memory of Tina Kasten and all other domestic abuse victims. Kasten is a local woman whose husband was arrested for her murder back in May. Continue reading

Santa Claus Visits North Judson

Santa gets ready to visit with children

Santa Claus visited North Judson and greeted approximately 125 children at the new North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department building on Luken Street on Saturday, December 4th. Santa arrived by train and was escorted to the Fire Department on a horse-drawn wagon. Children had fun talking with Santa and having hot chocolate and cookies Saturday afternoon.
