North Judson will have a new clerk-treasurer in January. Democrat Alicia Collins beat incumbent Republican Donna Henry by a six-point margin, while incumbent North Judson Council President Wendy Hoppe fended off a challenge from Democrat Joan Haugh to hold onto her seat. Knox Harvest Days Committee Working on This Year’s Festival
It might be a few months off but Tony Radkiewicz, Sr. and the Harvest Days Committee are gearing up for another “bang up” weekend.
Bands this year will include: The Rolling Jones, Marbin Blues, PS 150, Night Shift, and Groupies Wanted.
Radkiewicz also announces that a Harvest Festival Talent Show is being planned for the Sunday of the Festival. They are looking for any reasonable type of talent from singers, magicians, dog acts, or comedy acts. The sky’s the limit. Starke County Republicans are Sworn into Office
The Starke County Republican elected officials were sworn into office last night in the Starke County Circuit Courtroom. Superior Court Judge Patrick Blankenship swore in Judge Kim Hall. Judge Hall then swore in the rest of the candidates.
“It was a wonderful evening and a great opportunity to place these fine folks under oath to faithfully and impartially perform their duties,” said Judge Hall.
