Eastern Pulaski School Board Accepts Principal’s Resignation, Appoints Interim Replacement

Winamac High School Principal Jeremy Tucker’s resignation was formally accepted by the Eastern Pulaski School Board Monday. Tucker submitted his resignation letter on February 21. He had been on paid administrative leave since January 24, as school officials investigated allegations of misconduct.

Winamac Town Council Members Schedule Interview Date to Fill Town Marshal Position

At Monday night’s Winamac Town Council meeting Town Marshal Mike Buchanan announced his resignation to council members.

He said the resignation will go into effect on July 1st. The council thanked him for his years of service to the community and commended him for the great work he’s done as the head of the Winamac Police Department.

Marshal Buchanan didn’t have any suggestions for his replacement but he did recommend adding Reserve Officer Alec Berger to the full-time force to replace whoever takes over as town marshal. Continue reading

Culver School Board to Take Steps to Replace Superintendent

The Culver School Board is expected to formally accept Superintendent Vicki McGuire’s resignation this evening. McGuire is leaving Culver to take over as superintendent at the Eastern Hancock school corporation in Central Indiana. Continue reading

O-D Schools Superintendent Anticipates New Job with Delphi School Corporation

The Oregon-Davis school corporation may soon be on a search for a Superintendent of its own.

Current Superintendent Greg Briles says he intends to submit a letter of resignation that is expected to become official at the school board meeting on November 16th. Briles was offered a position as Superintendent with the Delphi Community School Corporation.

Pulaski County EMA Director Resigns

Pulaski County CourthouseThe Pulaski County Commissioners accepted the letter of resignation of their Emergency Management Agency Director.

Larry Hoover told the Commissioners last night that he would leave his position effective August 1st. Allowing for several weeks to make the transition also will allow Hoover time to prepare certain grant applications for the county.
