Courthouse Plans Developing, Cost Remains Factor
The Pulaski County Commissioners spent time reviewing proposed upgrades and renovations to the courthouse.
Plans have been several months in the works with engineering reviews and architectural considerations being made. Although the plan has not yet been green-lighted, Pulaski County has spent considerable time evaluating the problems facing the courthouse and some possible solutions.

Eastern Pulaski Schools Plans Technology Upgrades
The Eastern Pulaski School Corporation could soon be cleaning up some of its technology on campus.
Due to the extensive renovations and improvements being considered in Eastern Pulaski, cabling being run through the ceilings will be removed with new cabling replacing the former infrastructure. Because of this, Eastern Pulaski Schools will be upgrading their phone system.

Ellen Dodge Announces Retirement as Library Director
After five and a half years as director of the Starke County Public Library, Ellen Dodge has announced her resignation. Effective Aug. 31, Dodge’s retirement marks the end of a dedicated 17 years of service to the library.
“When I first came I selected fiction materials and helped people make choices for their recreational reading. I’ve been a reference librarian and was head of the reference department for several years,” said Dodge.
Originally born in Chicago, Dodge spent the majority of her life growing up in Laporte County. She later earned her Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Library Science, and worked in hospital laboratories and research labs before getting a job at the library.
