Pulaski County Building Administrator David Dare has been in contact with an engineering company for the purpose of requirements to check for the presence of asbestos in the debris from a building collapse last week.
Dare explained that it’s required by law to check commercial buildings for the presence of asbestos prior to demolition. Since the structure fell on its own, the requirement still stands. Expert services by a commercial asbestos removal company will be necessary in these situations.
