The Pulaski County Commissioners will discuss insurance renewal this morning. They’re expected to hear from Gene Timm and Kyle Conrad with Novotny Insurance. It will be the last regular meeting for commissioners Kenny Becker and Jerry Locke. Neither sought reelection, after serving a single four-year term.

Pulaski County Commissioners to Discuss Revolving Loan Request Tonight

The Pulaski County Commissioners are expected to consider a revolving loan request tonight. Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer is expected to discuss a revolving loan and a partial mortgage release. EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo will have updates, and Kyle Conrad with Novotny Insurance will give a renewal review.

Medaryville Town Council Discusses Wastewater Equipment, Insurance Provider

The Town of Medaryville may soon be upgrading some of the equipment at its wastewater treatment lagoon. Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood says the town council discussed the possibility of repairing a generator and replacing a flow meter, during last week’s meeting. She says that town officials haven’t gotten cost estimates yet, but they believe buying a new flow meter could cost $3,000.

Pulaski County Commissioners Agree to Let One Insurance Company Submit Proposal

The Pulaski County Commissioners have agreed to get a second opinion on insurance coverage, but some officials were concerned that could create extra work for department heads. Representatives from ONI Risk Partners met with the commissioners last week, offering to analyze the county’s insurance needs, look for potential areas for improvement, and present some options.

The Pulaski County Commissioners this week passed a motion to postpone the opening of liability insurance bids after Barb Whitaker with Novotny Insurance approached the commissioners and stated that she was unaware they were accepting bids. She requested they postpone the bid opening to allow her to put together two bid proposals, and said there was some confusion because the county did not submit bid specs to be used in the bidding process.
