North Judson Seeking Funding to Connect Town with New Sidewalks

Getting around North Judson by foot may become a little easier and safer over the coming years. The town council recently learned that INDOT plans to install sidewalks along State Road 10 for much of its length through the town, as part of an upcoming resurfacing and drainage project. Now, town officials are looking at adding sidewalks along some north-south streets to feed into the new State Road 10 sidewalk.

N.J.-S.P. Switching to Virtual Learning after Elementary Teacher Tests Positive for COVID-19

The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation is switching to virtual learning until Thanksgiving. Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin says an elementary teacher has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the number of close contacts that will have to quarantine, the school corporation won’t have enough staff available for in-person classes.

North Judson-San Pierre Shares School Reopening Plan

The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation is giving more details about what the new school year will look like. Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin released N.J.-S.P.’s 2020-2021 reopening plan this week. Students will be encouraged but not mandated to wear face coverings, especially on buses and in hallways. Staff will be asked to wear masks when social distancing isn’t possible.

North Judson-San Pierre Lunch Distribution to Resume after Spring Break

The North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation will continue offering meals to students after spring break. Starting Monday, lunch will once again be available for pickup each weekday between 11:00 and 11:45 a.m. at five locations: North Judson United Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Denham, San Pierre Park, English Lake Church, and the Bailey’s Discount Center parking lot.
