Bremen Police Find Meth Lab, Two Arrested

Meth BustBremen Police Officers responding to a call about trespassers found an apparent meth lab inside a residence in the 400 block of South East Street. The incident occurred yesterday around 3:30 p.m. according to WNDU-TV. Brandon Shackelford and Raymond Van Blaricom are being held in the Marshall County Jail.

 

Starke County Detectives Find Inactive Meth Lab at Knox Home

police investigation 2An investigator from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office found an inactive meth lab at a home during a follow-up stolen property investigation Monday. The owner of the home on Island View Drive in Knox agreed to a search. The detective reportedly found an inactive one-pot meth lab and precursors in the garage of the residence. Officers from the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team responded and cleaned up the scene. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Plymouth Couple Jailed Following Meth Lab Discovery

A Plymouth couple is jailed without bond after a police officer reportedly found a meth lab in their vehicle during a traffic stop. Roy A. Atkins, 35, and his wife Trudi A. Atkins, 32, were arrested by Plymouth Police Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a store at Oak Drive and Jefferson Street. The officer who stopped their vehicle noted a strong chemical smell, according to the arrest report. A search turned up an active meth lab and numerous other meth-related items in the back.

Four Arrested for Methampetamine Lab in Knox

While serving three arrest warrants on Robert Singleton and Matthew Baker, officers found the suspects Friday at 415 N. State Road 23 in Knox—along with an active methamphetamine lab and a slew of drugs in the presence of two young children.

When they arrived at the residence, officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department and Knox Police Department found Baker entering a vehicle and moved to detain him before finding an active one-pot methamphetamine lab in his hand. A brief altercation ended with a handcuffed Baker in the back of a squad car.
