LaPaz Woman Sentenced on Manufacturing Meth, Robbery Charges

  
 
A LaPaz woman was sentenced in Marshall County Superior Court I on charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Robbery.

Judge Robert O. Bowen approved a plea agreement between the prosecutor and the defense attorney for defendant Toni Cassandra Schutz, 27, who pleaded guilty in the agreement to the charges. On the Manufacturing Methamphetamine charge, Schutz was sentenced to 18 years in the Department of Corrections in which three years were suspended. Grovertown Man Sentenced on Manufacturing Methamphetamine Charge

 
 
A Grovertown man was sentenced Wednesday in a hearing in Marshall Superior Court I.

Adam Wagers, 23, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state to a charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Class B felony. Judge Robert O. Bowen sentenced Wagers to 14 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with four years suspended. In exchange for the plea of guilty, four other methamphetamine-related counts filed against him were dismissed.

Olan Howard to Appear for Status Hearing This Morning

  
 
A man charged with Murder and Dealing in a Schedule I Controlled Substance will appear for a status conference this morning at 9 a.m. in Marshall Superior Court I. While there has been no official confirmation as to whether or not the case again Olan Howard will go to trial, plea negotiations continue in the case but it doesn’t appear likely that a plea agreement will be reached.

Plymouth Man Sentenced to 15 Years on Meth Charges

A Plymouth man was sentenced in Marshall Superior Court I Wednesday to consecutive sentences of 10 years each for dealing in and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Terry A. Kovacs Jr. admitted in open court that on Jan. 10, 2012, he delivered methamphetamine to an individual at a gas station in Plymouth who was working with the Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team. That individual also conducted a sale at Kovacs’ home. Kovacs even tried to convince the undercover individual to start a business operation of manufacturing and selling methamphetamine.
