Bruce Hirschy, a Social Studies instructor at the O-D School, has announced his retirement. During his 19 years at the school he also coached basketball and cross country. Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball coach Wesley Radtke was on the list of resignations and non-renewals. He will continue to teach but will no longer coach girls basketball. Continue reading

Mike Lintner from the Marshall-Starke Development Center provided an annual report to the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday.
In addition to his annual report, he brought a client to visit with the commissioners. Gilbert Harrington became a client in 2008 in the supported living program. He is wheelchair-bound and rents a room with two roommates in one of seven staffed housing sites. Sixteen people are in the residential program in Marshall County.
Ever hear of a “Gold Party?” Chances are you haven’t. The Marshall-Starke Development Center is holding a Gold Party fundraiser tonight from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at 1901 Pidco Drive in Plymouth.
The Marshall-Starke Development Center will be paid a percentage of all gold and silver sold at the event. The higher the participation, the higher the percentage donated back to Marshall-Starke.
Even if you can’t make it, take your bag of gold to the center before the party. The experienced jewelers will qualify, weigh, and cash it out for you.
