North Judson Town Council Informed About Unresolved Request from the 1980s

A matter that has gone unresolved for more than 30 years was brought before the North Judson Town Council Monday night.

North Judson Resident and former town council member, Tim Cummins informed the council that even though the North Judson Plan Commission and Town Council took steps to vacate a 16-foot alley between Dahlke and Lyle Streets back in the 1980s, the final step of sending the documentation to the Starke County Recorder was not completed so the alley was never officially vacated. Benefit Breakfast for North Judson Fire Chaplain Scheduled for Tomorrow

The North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department is holding a benefit breakfast for Chaplain Paul Newcomer at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

At Monday night’s town council meeting Fire Chief Joe Leszek explained that Newcomer was diagnosed with prostate cancer and recently underwent a successful surgery. They are holding this at-will donation benefit as a way to raise funds to help cover his medical expenses. Continue reading →

Santa Claus Visits North Judson

Santa gets ready to visit with children

Santa Claus visited North Judson and greeted approximately 125 children at the new North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department building on Luken Street on Saturday, December 4th. Santa arrived by train and was escorted to the Fire Department on a horse-drawn wagon. Children had fun talking with Santa and having hot chocolate and cookies Saturday afternoon.

North Judson Holiday Activities Begin Tonight

Don’t miss the Christmas light ceremony tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT at Norwayne Field in North Judson. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available at the old firehouse following the event.

Santa Claus will be arriving in North Judson on Saturday, by train, at 12:30 p.m. The Christmas parade will start at the Depot and end at the new firehouse on Luken Street. Santa will be greeting children at the firehouse where cookies and hot chocolate will be available.
