Our first Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 season is Katie Back, a member of the Girls Golf Team at North Judson-San Pierre High School.
Katie led her team to their first-ever Bi-County Girls Golf Tournament Championship last weekend. She shot a 102 to earn medalist honors as her team handily defeated second-place Knox by 57 strokes. Her coach indicated that, while Katie wasn’t as consistent as she would have liked to be, that the Junior recovered her cool after every mistake and it was focus that led her team to victory.
Congratulations to Katie Back of North Judson-San Pierre High School, our “Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week”. Katie will be featured on Thursday Night Sports Talk with Nathan Welter this Thursday evening at 6 o’clock.
