Second Bicycle Ride Approved as Pulaski County Bicentennial Legacy Project

 

Indiana BicentennialPulaski County has had another legacy project approved in celebration of the Hoosier State’s 200th year.

The Indiana Bicentennial Commission met on February 19th to consider legacy projects submitted for consideration and approval. So far, there are more than 1-thousand projects that will take place around the state.

In the latest round of considerations, 144 Legacy Projects received approval from the Commission. Among that list is Pulaski County’s Tippecanoe & Bicycles Too Bike Ride. It’s being hosted by the Friends of the Panhandle Pathway. Continue reading

Nominations Sought for Bicentennial Torch Relay Torchbearers

Indiana BicentennialThe Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay is accepting nominations from the public for torchbearers in each of the state’s 92 counties. Nominations recognize Hoosiers who demonstrate exceptional public service, excellence in their profession, acts of heroism or volunteer service to their neighborhood, community, region or state, according to a news release from the Indiana Office of Tourism Development. Pulaski County CDC Establishes County Bicentennial Committee

Indiana BicentennialOfficials in Pulaski County are making plans to celebrate Indiana’s 200th birthday. The Pulaski County Community Development Commission recently established the Pulaski County Bicentennial Committee. It will serve as a liaison to the Indiana State Bicentennial Commission.

Activities across Indiana in 2016 will celebrate 200 years of statehood with Legacy Projects, an Olympic-style torch relay across the state and other events. Continue reading
