Hydrant Flushing to be Conducted in Culver this Week

Starting on Monday, June 25th, utility crews will be flushing hydrants in the town of Culver.

Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim sent out a reminder notifying the public that during the process, you may notice that water from the faucet appears rusty in color but it is still safe to drink. However, to alleviate the issue, turn the faucet on and let it run until the water is clear. Continue reading

Crews Will Be Conducting Hydrant Flushing in Culver this Week

Culver Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim sent out a notification to alert residents that crews will be conducting hydrant flushing this week.

She mentioned that during the process, water may appear to have a “rusty” color, however, it is still safe to drink. Heim stated that this is a necessary procedure conducted biannually that removes rust from the town’s water distribution system. Continue reading

North Judson Brush Pick-Up Begins Today, Fire Hydrant Flushing to Occur in May

North Judson Town Superintendent Marshall Horstmann addressed a few important dates that residents should keep in mind in the coming weeks at last Monday’s town council meeting.

In response to a citizen question, he stated that the town utility department will start brush pick-up on Thursday, April 26th. Horstmann said they won’t be able to accomplish it all in one sweep, so additional brush pick-up will need to take place after today. Continue reading

Fire Hydrant Flushing Scheduled in North Judson

  
 
North Judson utility crews will be flushing fire hydrants in a few days. Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry says they’ll start the preventive maintenance process around 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Should residents experience discolored or murky water during this time, they should leave their tap run until the water is clear.

North Judson Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry wants to remind citizens of North Judson that the town will be flushing hydrants on the nights of May 13 and 14, so residents should keep in mind to run their water to ensure there is no rust in the line. Henry says if you’re doing a load of laundry, run an empty cycle first to avoid any rust in the wash.
