The current Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) program, which was originally set to expire today, has received an extension to continue operations through February 28th.
The extension was granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Governor Eric Holcomb stated that as a result, the more than 400,000 HIP participants will see no change in service, for now. Continue reading

Don’t fret, the deadline has been extended to allow more children the chance to compete in this year’s singing contest at the Starke County 4-H Fair. Though the deadline has been extended, you should still get your entries in as soon as possible in order to ensure your spot in the competition on Monday, July 13 at 8 pm in the show arena. A plant with the potential to cause harmful side effects is sprouting in Northern Indiana this month.
According to Purdue Extension, Poison Hemlock can be found along roadsides, farm fields, and railroad tracks. The plant is considered a biennial – which means it lives over the course of two years. The stalk can grow between three and eight feet tall.
