Tom Knape
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this Week is Tom Knape, a member of the Boys Basketball Team at John Glenn High School.
Tom was the inspirational leader for the Falcons as they fought their way to the Sectional Championship game with tough wins over Northern State Conference opponents New Prairie and Jimtown.
The 6-1 Senior played great defense in the 54-40 semi-final win over Jimtown and also added 7 big points, including a crucial 3-pointer in the 57-53 Overtime win over the Cougars. But, it was the energy and leadership that he brought to the court that was a key factor in both wins, according to Coach Travis Hannah.
A multi-sport athlete at John Glenn, Tom was the quarterback for the outstanding football team at Glenn the last 2 years.
Tom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Knape and will be featured on “Sports Talk with Nathan Welter” Thursday night on WKVI with a featured picture and story on wkvi.com.
Congratulations to Tom Knape of John Glenn High School, our “Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week”

Adam Clindaniel
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Adam Clindaniel, a member of the Boys Basketball Team at South Central High School.
Adam led his team to a come-from-behind 75-73 victory over their arch-rivals, the LaCrosse Tigers, with the best scoring game of his career.
With the Satellites leading scorer in early foul trouble in the first half and their point guard sidelined with an ankle injury early in the second half, it fell to Adam to turn into the team leader.
The 6-1 Junior poured in 27 points, nearly 3 times his season scoring average. With the Satellites off to a slow start, he hit three 3-pointers to give his team the lead in the first half, then, with his team down by 7 in the fourth quarter, he took charge with key scores and defensive plays that saved the day for South Central in one of the biggest games of the year.
A three-sport athlete at South Central, Adam also plays football and baseball, where he hit a home run that helped bring his team from behind in the Sectional baseball championship game last Spring.
Adam is the son of Paula and Monte Clindaniel of Hanna and will be featured on “Sports Talk with Nathan Welter” Thursday night on WKVI with a featured picture and story on wkvi.com.
Congratulations to Adam Clindaniel of South Central High School, our “Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week”.
