Enforcement of the City of Knox truck route has some over-the-road drivers seeking alternate routes to access the industrial park. Mayor Dennis Estok to the board of works yesterday he’s gotten several telephone calls and emails since the stepped-up patrols started earlier this month. He says truckers are going down every side street they can to avoid taking Culver Road to and from the industrial park. Continue reading

Final Work Scheduled on Klockner Drive Paving Project

roadworkThe final pavement work through the Knox Industrial Park should wrap up in the next few weeks. The contractor for the industrial park road improvement project is back in Knox for the next couple of days placing asphalt on Klockner Drive/300 East, Culver Road, Pacific Avenue and Hamilton Drive. All roads will remain open but will be down to one lane during the paving. Flagmen will direct traffic in the area. Continue reading

Final Work on 300 East to Start Today

 
 

The contractor that widened 300 East through the Knox Industrial Park last summer is ready to put the finishing touches on that project. Work will begin today to repair driveways, install topsoil, seed and sod and clean existing pavement. Once that is done, a final surface coat will be applied and the pavement will be marked. No road closures are planned. Lane restrictions and flagging operations will be used to restrict traffic until the project is complete in May.
