Incidents:
06/09/2012 North Judson police responded to a property damage accident in the parking lot of The Feed Barn. The vehicle that struck the concrete pole left the scene. North Judson Chief Deputy, Joe Budner, located the vehicle on State Road 39 south of Leslie Street. During the investigation of the accident, the female driver of the vehicle had a outstanding warrant from Knox City Court. The female was arrested on the warrant. A report will be completed and sent to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for charges to be filed for leaving the scene of a non-vehicle property damage accident. Budner estimated damages over $1,000.

06/09/2012 North Judson police responded to a animal complaint in the 300 block of N. George Street. The North Judson officer found that the three dogs outside in the back yard had no water. The officer spoke with a male subject that was there and informed him of animal cruelty laws. The male subject gave the dogs some water. The officer also advised the male that the owner of the dogs needs to purchase two more Town of North Judson dog tags within the next week.

06/08/2012 A resident in the 800 block of Clinton St. reported to the North Judson police that she is being harassed by her ex-husband. The female advised that he continues to text and call her. A North Judson officer spoke with the ex-husband and he stated that he would stop.

06/07/2012 A resident in the 400 block of Main Street filed a harassment complaint on a family member over a personal matter.

06/07/2012 A female left her vehicle parked at the Town Park on Weninger Street and when she returned her vehicle had pizza smeared all over it. The female stated before she left to go to the gas station with other friends, three unknown males came to the park with a pizza box. There was no damage to the vehicle.

06/07/2012 A resident in the 300 block of Dahlke Street reported that she thought she heard a gun shot in the woods next to her property. It may have been a firework. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely arrived and checked the area. He waited approximately 15 minutes in the area and was not able to hear any additional gun shots, however did hear fireworks. Vessely reminds you that any consumer fireworks, meaning any small or large firework that is designed primarily to produce visible or audible effects by combustion, is illegal to discharge in the corporate limits of the Inc. Town of North Judson, except 5 days before the 4th of July and 5 days after July 4th. Fireworks may also be discharged on July 4th and New Years Eve. The hours are between 5:00 p.m. and until hour hours after sunset with the exception of July 4th and New Year’s Eve when it is permitted between 10:00 a.m. and midnight Vessely added, “This doesn’t include smoke devices, sparklers, glow worms, and snappers. Please be extremely careful when using any fireworks, and remember the law states you must be over 18 years of age to use the fireworks.”

06/05/2012 North Judson police received a 911 call in reference to a verbal argument between a male and female at the intersection of Luken and Sycamore. The female left south on Luken in a white pick-up truck. A North Judson officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.

06/04/2012 A resident on John Street reported a reckless driving incident. The caller said two vehicles were involved. A North Judson Police officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicles.

06/09/012 Kimberly M. Tolson, 38, North Judson, IN was arrested on a Knox City Warrant for Failure to Appear and was long-formed for Leaving the Scene of a Non-Vehicle Property Damage Accident.

Incidents:
06/10/12 The Francesville Fire Department was called out due to a call of smoke coming from under the building at Family Express. Everyone was safely evacuated from the building and no cause of the smoke was determined.

06/10/12 A Pulaski resident reported a car vs. deer accident. The driver told police he swerved to miss the deer and went into a ditch, but he sustained no injuries.

06/10/12 A Winamac man told police that his neighbor cut down too many trees on his property.

06/10/12 A Winamac resident reported a fight in progress by the basketball courts in the Winamac Town Park.

06/09/12 A Medaryville man reported his wallet stolen. Police found that the subject was wanted and he was taken to the Pulaski County Jail.

06/08/12 A Medaryville resident called police to report that some unknown person(s) entered her trailer while she was there. The caller said she told the subjects to leave and the intruders asked her for pills. They reportedly stole “cheap” jewelry and ransacked another trailer and her car.

06/08/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a fire that was out of control on 450 West. The caller said trees were on fire next to his house. The neighbor reportedly called police to report that his house was on fire. The roof had caught fire due to the out-of-control fire and Winamac Fire Department called for backup.

06/08/12 The Winamac Police Department took a report of a conversion incident from the Family Dollar store.

06/08/12 A Monterey resident reported the theft of a saddle and bridle.

06/07/12 A Monterey resident advised that his shed was broken into for the third time.

06/07/12 Firefighters were called to a grass fire in the Monterey area. The caller said the fire was spreading quickly and moving into the pine trees. The caller was trying to keep the fire away from the house.

06/07/12 The possible theft of four 4-H sheep was reported out of the Winamac area.

06/07/12 Winamac police received notice of a stolen bike.

06/07/12 Pulaski County police responded to a burglary in progress.

06/06/12 A domestic battery incident was reported. No arrests were made and the parties were separated.

06/06/12 A Denham resident reported a vehicle on fire.

06/06/12 A local bank reported receiving counterfeit $20 bills.

06/04/12 A small brush fire was reported in Monterey.

06/01/12 Clifford Cole of North Judson told police that someone recently stole hedge clippers from his garage, and when he woke up this morning he found a threatening note.

06/01/12 A customer at Tony’s Gas Station on Ind. 10 in North Judson told police that someone attempted to break into his vehicle.

06/01/12 A caller told police that he and a friend found old bottles with tubes coming out of the tops containing a white substance floating in the Yellow River.

06/02/12 A caller from Osborn’s Mini Mart in Knox told police that a driver drove off after pumping fuel without paying.

06/02/12 A caller from the 4800 block of East Toto Road in Knox told police that someone stole several items from their home.

06/02/12 A caller from the 4000 block of South Dawn Drive in North Judson told police that someone stole a number of items.

06/03/12 A caller from the 600 block of East 625 South in Knox told police that her neighbor’s dogs regularly torment her horse.

06/04/12 Phil Banasiak of Knox told police that a woman knocked him out of his wheelchair and broke his cell phones so he could not call for help.

06/04/12 A caller from the 9500 block of East 750 North in Walkerton told police that someone stole $6000 from her.

06/04/12 Kit Matthies of North Judson told police that his truck was recently broken into and he found more damage done to the vehicle.

06/04/12 Anne Tate of Knox told police that someone ripped the license plate off her vehicle, ripped it up, and also scratched off her expiration sticker.

06/04/12 A caller from the 4500 block of South 550 East in Knox told police that someone broke into the house he was building and spray-painted walls.

06/04/12 A caller from the 8800 block of East 75 North in Knox told police that someone TP’d their house.

06/04/12 An attempted break-in was reported in the 7100 block of North 300 East in Knox.

06/04/12 A theft was reported in the 7800 block of North Topinabee road In Walkerton.

06/04/12 A caller from the 11100 block of East 500 North in Grovertown reported a check deception.

06/06/12 A caller from the 8800 block of East 75 North in Grovertown told police that someone had just shot her dog in the eye.

06/07/12 Police learned of a broken window at the Shore Club at Bass Lake.

06/07/12 A caller from the 1100 block of East 150 South in Knox told police that a Fujifilm camera was stolen from her house.

06/07/12 A resident of the 7800 block of East 25 North in Knox told police that she was being harassed by a male subject.

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
06/11/12 Shauna Kidder told police she was attacked by one of her male cats. The cat was reportedly not vaccinated for rabies. The Animal Control Officer advised that the cat would be euthanized and tested due to the nature of Kidder’s injuries.

06/08/12 Knox City Police Department investigated a fire incident at a home at 505 S. Heaton Street. The home was vacant at the time of the incident and by the time emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the fire was out.

06/06/12 A battery incident was reported and possible charges are pending.

06/05/12 Larry Combs told police that some unknown person(s) removed a fuel cap from his tractor. No fuel was reported missing.

06/04/12 Todd Fisher called police to report a vandalism incident. Some unknown person(s) keyed his vehicle and the driver’s side tires were flat.

06/04/12 A battery report was taken. Charges are pending.
