Incidents:
06/02/12 North Judson Police responded to a vandalism call in the 400 Block of Lane Street. The tenant had taken in a roommate recently and it is believed that he left the resident and the resident broke a mirror, glass in the front door and ransacked the apartment. This incident remains under investigation.

06/02/12 A good samaritan who was helping clean the park with her children located a white Standard Cycle Company, Ranger Ultra, men’s bicycle along the treeline. North Judson Police recovered the bike. Anyone with information concerning this incident may contact the police department.

06/02/12 A property damage accident occurred in the CVS parking lot Saturday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. Lisa Beverly of Asheville, North Carolina, was exiting the parking lot through the center section in a 1999 Chrysler Searing, as Angela Minix, of Winamac, was circling the lot looking for a parking spot in her 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, and the two vehicles collided. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely set the damages at over $2,500. No injuries were reported.

06/01/12 For the second night in a row, the North Judson Police received a complaint of a prowler in the neighborhood of the 3000 Block of 625 South. The subject was located and the issue was resolved.

05/31/12 A domestic battery between a mother and adult daughter was reported to North Judson police from the 200 Block of W. Weninger Street. The incident was investigated by Chief Deputy Joe Budner and was furnished to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

05/29/12 North Judson Police were notified of a small tent that was blowing down the Street on Magnolia. It was found sitting in the 700 block and was disassembled and put into storage. Anyone missing a tent and who can identify the item may retrieve it from the Police Department. Please call 772-5914.

05/29/12 The Starke County Sheriff’s Department and North Judson police were informed of the theft of a road closed sign that was near the intersection of 400 South and 250 West. The caller gave the make and model of the suspect vehicle. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely located the sign in the truck of a similar vehicle in the high school parking lot later in the day with the help of school officials. A complete report has been furnished to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office requesting formal charges. The sign was valued at over $130.00. Police warn that dangers heighten when traffic signs are taken or rearranged.

05/30/12 Sandra A. Taylor, 47, North Judson, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and a felony charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated within 5 years.

06/02/12 A Winamac resident told police that he woke up and found that two of his car’s tires had been slashed.

06/02/12 An armed bank robbery incident occurred at the Lake City Bank in Medaryville.

06/01/12 A church member told police that every time gravel is laid down in the church’s parking lot some unknown person(s) tears through the parking lot. A security camera will be installed to capture the incidents on camera.

06/01/12 Pulaski County deputies were called to a fight in progress in the jail. The jailer was reportedly trying to lock down the cell block but the inmates were not cooperating.

06/01/12 A Cass Township resident called police to report stolen medications, but officers told the caller that police do not take those reports.

06/01/12 A Winamac resident told police that a theft occurred from his property.

06/01/12 A Cass Township resident requested an officer to investigate a break-in at one of this rentals.

06/01/12 A Winamac homeowner saw the FedEx delivery person drop off a large package at his neighbor’s office and he was concerned that the package might be stolen since he hasn’t seen his neighbor for a few days. Police took possession of the package until the homeowner returns.

05/31/12 Police responded to a call about a vehicle off the road in a field in Franklin Township. The caller said it appeared that the driver lost control, and went off into the field and blew two tires. Police found the car’s owner and he said his daughter had been driving the car and didn’t know anything of the incident.

05/30/12 A Medaryville resident called police to report the theft of medications. Dispatch told the caller that officers do not take stolen medication reports. The caller said that he needed a report for someone breaking into his car.

05/30/12 A Winamac caller told police that some unknown person(s) broke out the side window on his fiberglass camper top.

06/01/12 – A customer at Tony’s Gas Station on Ind. 10 in North Judson told police that someone attempted to break into his vehicle.

06/01/12 – A caller told police that he and a friend found old bottles with tubes coming out of the tops containing a white substance floating in the Yellow River.

06/02/12 – A caller from Osborn’s Mini Mart in Knox told police that a driver drove off after pumping fuel without paying.

06/02/12 – A caller from the 4800 block of East Toto Road in Knox told police that someone stole several items from their home.

06/02/12 – A caller from the 4000 block of South Dawn Drive in North Judson told police that someone stole a number of items.
