Incidents:
05/20/12 A Star City resident asked police to search her rental house for a meth lab. The person she is renting the home to was reportedly arrested in Fulton County for a mobile meth lab.

05/20/12 A Winamac resident called police to report that someone is trespassing on her property. The person, whom she identified to police, is pushing up some trees and left some trash and other items on the property.

05/20/12 A truck driver requested the fire department as his brakes caught on fire. The driver tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher but it was not helping.

05/20/12 The Medaryville Fire Department was called to a woods fire on by the road. No buildings were in the way.

05/20/12 The Medaryville Fire Department was called to a brush fire.

05/19/12 A Medaryville resident reported a break-in and theft. The complaintant said the unknown person(s) broke into the house while he and his girlfriend were sleeping and stole his girlfriend’s wallet and credit card.

05/19/12 Winamac police were called to the Winamac Town Park on a report of teenaged kids cussing at younger-aged children and throwing things into the river.

05/19/12 A fire was reported in the Medaryville area. The Medaryville Fire Department went to the location and found that the property owners were doing a controlled burn and it was being contained.

05/18/12 A Medaryville resident called to report a vicious dog. She said the dog was trying to attack a man and she yelled at it and the man got away but now the dog is intimidating someone else.

05/18/12 Francesville Police were notified of a graffiti incident.

05/18/12 A Medaryville resident called police to report that two subjects have trashed two trailers and stolen property.

05/18/12 A trailer fire was reported in an area near the State Park woods. The Winamac Fire Department was called to the scene along with the Bass Lake Fire Department.

05/18/12 A suspicious man was reported to Francesville police. One man appeared to have been carrying a sword.

05/16/12 A Winamac resident reported the theft of jewelry.

05/16/12 A Denham resident called police to report the theft of scrap metal.

05/16/12 A Winamac woman called police to report that someone left her daughter a box of chocolates on her daughter’s porch.

05/16/12 A resident in Franklin Township reported items stolen from his residence.

05/15/12 A Francesville resident reported the theft of a steel block out of one of their pieces of equipment.

05/15/12 A Medaryville resident told police that someone just drove through the garage and into the side of the house next door. No injuries were reported.

05/15/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a large grass fire by the saw mill.

05/15/12 The owner of a trailer in Medaryville reported that her son came in and stripped the copper and about half the siding off of the trailer.

05/14/12 An accident occurred in the Medaryville area where the vehicle had gone down an embankment. The driver was injured in the accident and was taken to Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

05/14/12 Firefighters from the Francesville Fire Department responded to a field fire.

05/14/12 Francesville Police Department officers were called to a rollover accident where two people were injured. The driver was injured along with a juvenile who reportedly had severe head, back and abdominal injuries. Lifeline was called to the scene.

05/14/12 Pulaski County police were called to the scene of an accident in a field near Medaryville.

From the North Judson Police Department:

Incidents:
05/20/12 Around 4:30 a.m., North Judson police received a dispatch call to the 600 block of Arlington Avenue in reference to a possible female driver driving under the influence and crossing into front yards. North Judson Police checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect. Around 5:45 a.m., the vehicle was located and stopped on U.S. 421. The woman driver, Chrystal Brown of Portage, IN, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated. Starke County Sheriff, Indiana State Police , and the North Judson Police investigated.

05/18/12 A woman leaving the ATM from the First Farmers Bank on Lane Street in North Judson struck the utility pole in the alley. She stated she did not see the pole. North Judson Police Chief Deputy Joe Budner investigated and listed the total damages at over $2,500.

05/15/12 The North Judson–San Pierre Schools reported a driver had gone around a school bus arm while it was out. Police located the driver and issued a stern warning. This took place in the loading zone in front of the high school. Police and school officials want to remind you that you cannot pass a school bus arm when it is in use at any time, whether on a driveway, private road, one, two or four lane roads.

05/15/12 The Wooden Nickel Restaurant reported to North Judson police that a male had just left the restaurant and took a custom-made type pool cue stick and a case. The suspect was located and identified as Clayton N. Conley. He was placed under arrest for theft of the item and transported to the Starke County Jail. The cue stick was located and taken into evidence. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely investigated the incident.

05/14/12 The Family Express reported an Illinois driver left a debit card and an Illinois ID card while they pumped $80.00 worth of gasoline. The debit card was declined and the driver left the business without paying.

05/20/12 Crystal Pfledderer told police that she had her Nook notebook on top of her car and she forgot that it was there and drove off with it on top of her car. She turned the corner and it fell off the car. When she turned around to go back and pick up the Nook, she saw a man pick up the Nook and leave the area.

05/20/12 Susan Allen reported her purse stolen.

05/20/12 Officers found graffiti on the J.W. Hicks building and on the Toll Brothers building. Graffiti was also found on a white 2005 box truck parked at M.P.I.

05/20/12 Jerry Wilson told police that some unknown person(s) had spray painted graffiti on the passenger side of a pickup parked at his residence.

05/20/12 Rachael Osbourne reported the theft of a Playstation 3 with a power cord, AV cord and seven games.

05/19/12 Knox City police responded to two incidents where a person with a BB gun shot out windows at two different locations.

05/19/12 James Mueller reported the theft of a GPS unit from the glove box in his vehicle.

05/18/12 Police were advised that Judith Holtz was bitten by her neighbor’s visitor’s dog.

A burglary was reported in the 4200 block of South 700 East in Knox.

A caller from the 5700 block of South 250 West in North Judson told police that someone stole a bike from their yard.

A battery incident was reported in the 5300 block of South Detroiter Lane in North Judson.

Jewelry and other items were reportedly stolen from a bedroom in the 7100 block of South 250 West in North Judson.

A theft was reported in the 4400 block of South 350 West in North Judson.

Bob Coffin of Knox told police that someone stole his calf.

A caller from the 100 block of West Howard Drive in North Judson told police that someone stole his mailbox and pole.

A resident of the 6500 block of South Ind. 39 in North Judson told police that someone drove through her yard and damaged her apple tree.

A caller told police that she was almost carjacked by a subject in a gorilla suit and another subject in a pointed hat on 700 South near 700 West in San Pierre.
