04/27/12 Danny Sitek of Winamac told police that a battery impact wrench was taken from his work truck.

04/27/12 A resident of the 7200 block of South 300 West in North Judson told police that a large flower pot near her drive and mailbox were destroyed.

04/26/12 Vandalism was reported near the intersection of 250 North and U.S. 35 in Knox.

04/26/12 A resident of the 8800 block of South Sycamore Street in Monterey told police that her daughter was battered by a male subject.

04/26/12 A vehicle reportedly crashed into a home in the 9400 block of East 150 near Grovertown.

04/25/12 A theft was reported in the 400 block of Keller Avenue in North Judson.

04/25/12 An INDOT employee told police that while they were cleaning the Yellow River Bridge at State Roads 8 and 23, they located a bag containing items used to manufacture methamphetamine.

04/25/12 Karimi Anderson of North Judson told police that two prescription bottles were stolen from her purse.

04/24/12 An employee of Save a Lot in Knox told police that someone had been messing with their condensers in the back of the building.

04/24/12 Laura Darda of Knox told police that she received a $100 charge from Amazon that she did not authorize.

04/24/12 Guy Gardin of North Judson told police that someone had dumped garbage on his brother’s property.

04/24/12 Colleen Richardson of Monterey told police that a swingset and RV, as well as multiple items from her home, were stolen.

04/23/12 A caller told police that he saw kids go through the window of the old Washington Township School.

04/22/12 Joe Krozel of Culver told police that his vehicle was damaged at the Bass Lake Pub.

04/22/12 A resident of the 10500 block of East 500 North in Grovertown told police that someone stole his father’s ashes and his com,puter from his home.

04/22/12 Larry Bau of North Judson reportedly caught subjects trespassing and stealing objects off his property.

04/21/12 A resident of the 7200 block of South 300 East in North Judson told police that her mailbox had been hit by a car.

04/21/12 A resident of the 7000 block of South 590 West in North Judson told police that someone had been vandalizing mailboxes in the area.

04/21/12 Robert Fultz of Knox told police that he heard a gunshot near Gillsinger’s on U.S. 35 and noticed a hole in his windshield.

04/19/12 A resident of the 4000 block of South Hillcrest Road in Knox told police that vandals had moved property in the area, including boats and picnic tables, lawn chairs, and other items.

04/19/12 A resident of the 6100 block of South Ind. 10 in Knox told police that he received a fraudulent check.

04/19/12 A resident of the 6700 block of East 650 South in Knox told police that someone had stolen a grain wagon from his residence.

04/19/12 A woman reported that while she and her husband were walking on 750 East, south of Toto Road, the passengers of a passing truck harassed them but drove off when they noticed she was on the phone.

04/17/12 Lloyd Schmidt of Knox told police that someone had broken into his garage and stole tools, toolboxes, batteries, lawn equipment, and other items.

04/17/12 A resident of the 7300 block of South 600 West reported farm items had been stolen from his home.

04/16/12 A woman reportedly took $14.04 in gas from a North Judson gas station without paying.

04/16/12 A stamp album was reportedly stolen from a residence in the 6300 block of South 700 East in Knox.

04/15/12 A man at the Time Out Bar in Koontz Lake told police that his wife was battered by a male subject.

04/29/12 Mathew W. Quaife, 48, of Logansport, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery.

04/29/12 James Franklin Richie, 38, of Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Syringe.

04/27/12 Raymond L. Higdon, 32, of Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement, Driving While Suspended and Reckless Driving.

04/24/12 Kristina Redlin, 24, of Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Possession of Chemical Agents or Precursors.

04/24/12 Michael Bobcock, 24, of Monterey, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Common Nuisance.

04/20/12 Daniel L. Sitek, 28, of Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (Class D felony), Resisting Law Enforcement, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (Class A misdemeanor).

04/17/12 Sharon Young, 55, of North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery.

North Judson Police Department

From the North Judson Police Department:

Correction:

04/30/12   The North Judson Police Department would like to correct a reporting error. Last week it was reported that Jonathan C. Harrison was arrested, that was incorrect. We would like to apologize to Jonathan for this error. The correct information is James Harrison Jr., 707 Bradley Street, North Judson, was arrested on a Probation Violation Warrant out of LaPorte County.

Incidents:
04/25/2012  North Judson police responded to a call of a disabled vehicle at the intersection of State Road 39 S. and State Road 10. After an investigation, the officers at the scene were able to find out that the vehicle struck the curb and an utility pole causing it to become disabled. No damage was observed to the utility pole. The driver was not at the scene when officers arrived and was later located at a residence. The report, when complete, will be turned over to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for charges to be filed against the driver for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. The Starke County Sheriffs Department assisted with this incident.

04/25/2012 North Judson Police took a report of an intimidation call that was reported in the 200 block of Schricker Ave. A complete report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for charges to be filed.

04/25/2012 A resident filed a report with the North Judson Police Department of theft in 300 block of Schricker Ave. Items that were taken were some checks out of a checkbook and some tools. The checks were forged and some of the tools were pawned. Police do have information on the subject that stole the items. The incident is still under investigation and when the report is complete, it will be turned over to the Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

04/24/2012 A North Judson police officer on patrol observed vandalism that occurred at the old Army Reserve base. A front window appeared to have numerous bullet holes in it. The incident remains under investigation.

04/23/2012 North Judson Police responded to a battery incident in the 400 block of Keller Ave. The incident was investigated and a complete report was turned over to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for charges to be filed.

04/22/2012 North Judson police responded to a domestic violence call in the 400 block of Lincoln Ave. The incident was verbal and the female party left the residence.

04/18/2012 James Harrison Jr., 707 Bradley street, North Judson, IN, arrested for Probation Violation through a LaPorte County Warrant.

Pulaski County Sheriff's Department

04/26/12 A Denham resident called police to report harassment.

04/26/12 Police were called to a domestic situation in the Star City area.

04/26/12 Officers were called to an underage drinking party in the Medaryville area.

04/26/12 Medaryville officers were called to a fight in the complaintant’s front yard.

04/25/12 Pulaski County dispatch received two calls about a sprayer truck broken down in the middle of U.S. 35 at the curve south of Star City. The second call that was received was from the driver of the truck who said he was unable to get the truck off to the side of the road but not before a van struck the rear tire. No injuries were reported.

04/25/12 Winamac police were called to the Winamac Town Park after a caller reported two pick-ups doing donuts and tearing up the grass.

04/25/12 Winamac police were called to an accident. Two people were in the car when the accident happened but refused medical service at the scene.

04/29/12 Kyle Iton, 25, 6411 Capital Ln. Apt. A, Avon, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangerment. Discharged 04/29/12

04/28/12 Dennis Schroeder, 49, 5732 S. 250 E., Star City, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Prior.

04/27/12 Andrew Isajczuk, 18, 109 W. 600 N., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Minor Consuming and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

04/25/12 John W. Walker II, 25, 1506 Spear St., Logansport, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Driving While Suspended. Discharged 04/25/12

04/24/12 Bart Shank, 34, 6828 N. Center St., Monterey, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Stolen Property. Discharged 04/24/12

Incidents:
04/27/12 Kerry Andrews reported a missing cell phone. He later found it for sale on Craigslist.

04/27/12 Ellen Stevenson reported the theft of a blue tricycle. She told police that she kept the trike chained up with a combination lock and she was the only person that had the combination.

04/25/12 Robert Atkinson reported damage to a chain link fence and post at the end of his driveway.

04/25/12 The City of Knox Water Department turned off the water at 301 W. Lambert Street and water department officials later checked the water meter and found that the wires on the meter that run from the meter to the transmitter had been disconnected. The transmitter was replaced and found that 200 gallons of water had been used since the water was shut off by the water department.

04/24/12 Julie Manns reported damage done to the gate that closes the roadway off from Main Street to the Oak Park Cemetery.

04/29/12 Paul Rodgers, 44, 906 N. Walnut, Plymouth, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft.

04/29/12 Austin Bailey, 21, 201 Collins St., North Judson, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance in the Body and Disorderly Conduct.
