Incidents:

4/14/14 – North Judson Police responded to the 200 block of West Weninger Street to investigate a missing vehicle and found that it was a civil matter involving late payments.

4/15/14 – North Judson Police took a report of a violation of a protection order from a resident in the 200 block of Garden Street and forwarded a copy of the report to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of charges.

4/17/14 – A caller reported juveniles on dirt bikes riding recklessly on the roadway near Arlington Avenue, but nobody matching their description was located when the officer arrived.

4/18/14 – A parent reported her daughter and friends are being harassed via text messaging and Facebook. The matter remains under investigation.

04/18/14 – Officers were called to the area of Wilson and Garden Streets for a report of loud and vulgar music. It was off when they checked the area.

04/19/14 – A resident in the 300 block of Garden Street reported a debit card was compromised and used in the Washington, D.C. area. The cards have been deactivated, and an officer took a fraud report.

04/19/14 – An officer took an informational report involving a suspicious circumstance.

04/20/14 – North Judson Police responded to a custody dispute.

04/20/14 – North Judson Police responded to a verbal argument in the 500 block of Laurel Street. The parties were separated for the night.

04/20/14 -North Judson Police responded to a 911 call in the 300 block of North George Street. The resident advised that there was not a problem.

04/22/14 – North Judson Police responded to a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of North George Street.

04/23/14 – North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely stopped a vehicle at Luken Street and East Talmer Avenue. The driver, Jennifer L. Allen, 28, of North Judson, was found to be driving while suspended prior and issued a summons to appear in Knox City Court on Monday, April 28.

04/25/14 – North Judson Police assisted the Hamlet Police Department in locating a missing person from Hamlet. The female subject was located in North Judson with her boyfriend.

04/25/14 – North Judson Police responded to a property damage accident at West Talmer Avenue and High Street with damages greater than $1,000 estimated.

04/26/14 – North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas responded to a domestic complaint in the 200 block of West Weninger Street. He sent a report to the Starke County Prosecutors Office and Starke County Probation Department for review and possible charges.

Incidents:

4/21/14 – A female caller in the 3100 block of South 900 West in San Pierre asked to speak to an officer regarding problems with her sister.
4/21/14 – A caller advised there is a cow in the middle of the the roadway in the 500 block of 500 South in Knox, and it will not move.
4/21/14 – Jerry Russell reported the theft of two trash cans from his yard in the 300 block of West Eliza Street in San Pierre.
4/21/14 – Deputies responded to a report of juvenile problems at Hickory Hills on 550 East in Knox.
4/21/14 – A female called and advised the driver of a bluish colored Chevrolet Cavalier is flying down 400 North in the 3100 block and said she is concerned someone is going to get hurt.
4/21/14 – A resident in the 11000 block of East Iroquois Road in Walkerton asked to speak to an officer about a threatening message he received on Facebook.
4/21/14 – A resident in the 6700 block of East 200 South asked to speak to an officer about harassment involving her daughter.
4/21/14 – A resident in the 1800 block of East 350 South reported someone was trying to break in to her house. When she called the sheriff’s department, she said she was outside and did not see anyone or a vehicle.
4/22/14 – A caller reported a suspicious-looking man wearing a dark blue jacket up on his head without his arms in the sleeves, sweatpants and a baseball cap walking south on State Road 23 south of Toto Road.
4/22/14 – A NIPSCO serviceman reported a security light was shot out in the 3800 block of South CR 210 in Knox. The property owner told the deputy his security light was also shot out on April 13 and April 20 and advised he just wants the damage to stop. He did tell the deputy if it is shot out again, he will ask for an investigation.
4/22/14 – A resident in the 2200 block of South 800 East in Knox reported a man wearing a black jacket, black pants and a baseball cap was walking around the area for the past 15 to 20 minutes.
4/22/14 – A female who lives in the 1700 block of West 450 South in North Judson asked to speak to an officer about someone using her Social Security number.
4/22/14 – A Starke County Sheriff’s Deputy hit a goose with his patrol car on Toto Road east of U.S. 35 in Knox, causing minor damage.
4/22/14 – The owner of a home in the 200 block of West Davis Street in Hamlet reported someone tried to kick in the door of his rental property and said his tenant is there waiting for an officer to take a report.
4/22/14 – A resident in the 3000 block of West 800 South in North Judson reported someone broke into his home while he was at work. He’s not sure if anything is missing.
4/22/14 – An officer took a report of a vehicle sitting at the intersection of U.S. 35 and 200 South in Knox without any lights on. It’s not in the roadway, but it is difficult for other vehicles to see when pulling onto the highway.
4/22/14 – A resident in the 11000 block of East Toto Road in Culver called because she believed someone was in her attic, which she said is accessible from the garage overhang. Officers checked and did not find anyone in the attic.
4/23/14 – A caller reported chickens loose on 700 East north of 200 North.
4/23 – A caller in the 500 block of North State Road 23 reported criminal damage to her vehicle.
4/23/14 – A resident in the 6900 block of East Toto Road reported she is being harassed by her boyfriend.
4/23/14 – A caller advised a donkey was running loose near the intersection of SR 10 and U.S. 421 in San Pierre. The animal was captured before officers arrived.
4/23/14 – A deputy took a report of a vehicle versus deer crash in the 100 block of West 625 South in Knox.
4/23/14 – A female came to the sheriff’s office and asked to speak to an officer about text messages and harassment on her daughter’s phone.
4/24/14 – Pamela I Warmbein, 53, of Knox, hit a deer on 200 North between 600 and 700 East. A crash report was taken.
04/24/14 – Officers took a report of a property damage crash on U.S. 35 north of the tracks by DC Garage Doors. No injuries were reported.
4/24/14 – An officer stopped Cameron John Pressel, 20, of Valparaiso, on Toto Road east of Range Road and gave him a speeding ticket for 64/45.
4/24/14 – A resident in the 2000 block of South 450 East in Knox asked to speak to an officer because her 13-year-old son has not be home in eight days.
4/24/14 – A resident in the 1100 block of North 1025 East in Knox reported a light colored, four-door passenger car drove through her yard and did damage before leaving northbound on 1025 East.
4/24/14 – Extra patrol was requested in the area of State Road 23 and 100 North in Knox regarding suspicious activity in the church parking lot.
4/25/14 – Brad Binkley called the sheriff’s department after hitting a deer on U.S. 35 in Knox and asked to file a report.
4/25/14 – A caller in the 1900 block of East State Road 10, Knox, reported an unoccupied car has been parked in his driveway since the previous night.
4/25/14 – A caller reported a horse loose in the 3800 block of South 250 West in North Judson.
4/25/14 – An officer pulled a car driven by Shane Arthur Smith, 20, of Knox, over for speeding on U.S. 35 and 500 North and cited him for 74/55.
4/25/14 – A caller in the 1900 block of West 200 South, North Judson, reported a motorcycle keeps driving on his property.
4/25/14 – Starke County officers were asked to assist Pulaski County Deputies with a domestic complaint in the 100 block of West 500 South in Pulaski County.
4/26/14 – A caller reported a Dodge Dakota pickup truck in the ditch on 1100 East north of 500 North.
4/26/14 – A caller in the 8800 block of West 900 South in San Pierre reported that her picture window was shot out.
4/26/14 – A female caller advised she hit a deer on State Road 10 west of U.S. 421 in San Pierre.
4/26/14 – A female caller on 450 S near Dawn Drive in North Judson called to report loud music from a nearby residence, and said it goes on every weekend. A sheriff’s deputy spoke to the person playing the music, who said he would turn it down.
4/26/14 – A caller requested extra patrols in the 10000 block of East 100 North in Knox due to reckless driving in the area.
4/26/14 – A resident in the 8900 block of North 1050 East in Walkerton reported another dog came onto his property and attacked and injured his dog.
4/26/14 – A resident in the 10600 block of East 825 North in Walkerton asked to speak to an officer about a protective order violation.
4/22/14 – An deputy spoke to the people shooting a .22 in the 8300 block of Kaney in Walkerton and said they have a proper back stop.
4/25/14 – Officers pulled a white Pontiac Grand Prix over on U.S. 35 near U.S. 30 and reportedly found synthetic drugs in the vehicle. Michael E. Hoekman, 22, of Knox and Gordon Carl Scheib, 21, of Knox were both arrested.
4/25/14 – An officer stopped a silver Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Brittany Nicole Casbon, 28, of Wabash, on U.S. 30 westbound between Grovertown and Hamlet after receiving a report that it was all over the roadway. She was arrested for possession of marijuana.
4/26/14 – Dispatchers received a report of reckless driving on 400 North west of U.S. 35 in Knox.
4/26/14 – A resident in the 1400 block of West 250 South in North Judson called to report a truck hit her horse fence. The vehicle occupants are not injured.
4/26/14 – Officers responded to the area of U.S. 30 westbound east of U.S. 35 after a woman reported a woman wearing a red coat and glasses jumped out in front of her. They arrested Belinda Leigh Grammel, 52, of Valparaiso on charges of resisting law enforcement, obstruction of traffic, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
4/26/14 – Deputies responded to a noise complaint in the 5100 block of South State Road 10 in Knox. The complainant told them she thinks her neighbors are letting off bombs, as she does not see areal displays consistent with fireworks. She told them this had been going on for 45 minutes.
4/27/14 – A caller advised five cows are loose on 100 West near 400 South in Knox. They ran across the road into a cornfield.
4/27/14 – A property damage accident was reported in the 1300 block of West State Road 10 in North Judson.
4/27/14 – A resident in the 7800 block of Tecumseh Road in Walkerton called the sheriff’s office after finding another bullet hole, possibly from January. This one is on the south side of her house on the bottom of the window.
4/27/14 – Deputies responded to a traffic accident on North Robbins Road west of 850 East in Walkerton.
4/27/14 – Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 35 and State Road 10. No injuries were reported.
4/27/14 – A caller in the 100 block of West U.S. 30 in Hamlet advised there is a private range behind Knoll Brothers. He says people have been shooting all day, but they’ve also been blowing things up. He said the last explosion knocked his satellite out. Officers were unable to locate anyone on the property.

4/25/14 – Gordon Carl Scheib, 21, Knox: False reporting, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of paraphernalia.
4/25/14 – Brittany Nicole Casbon, 28, Wabash: Possession of marijuana.
4/26/14 – Belinda Leigh Grammel, 52, Valparaiso: Resisting law enforcement, obstruction of traffic, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

4/22/14- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report from a local resident who rentend out a room and had items disappear. Deputies respond when a local resident rents a room out and items go missing.
4/22- Several departments responded to a residential fire in near Winamac.
4/23- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded when a man was allegedly kicked by someone driving by in a van.
4/23- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported fire, found it was of no threat and called off the fire department.
4/24- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report from a man of missing items belonging to his girlfriend.
4/24- Winamac Police took a report of a stolen cell phone.
4/24- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the reported theft of a vehicle.
4/24- Winamac Police took a report of the theft of a fiber-optic device from a home.
4/24- Winamac Police responded to a verbal altercation.
