Incidents:

02/17/14 – A theft was reported in the 4100 block of South Range Road near North Judson.

02/18/14 – Robert Jennings of Knox told police that someone had stolen his vehicle from the Koontz Lake Laundromat.

02/18/14 – A resident of the 1000 block of West 250 South in Knox reported a female subject was harassing and threatening her.

02/18/14 – A domestic complaint was filed in the 7200 block of North 50 East in Hamlet.

02/18/14 – A resident of the 3900 block of South 200 East in Knox reported receiving threatening calls and texts from two female subjects.

02/19/14 – A Plymouth business owner reported an employee had stolen $11,000 from an out-of-state customer by having the customer wire him money.

02/19/14 – A resident of the 3900 block of North 700 East reported someone had been going through mailboxes.

02/20/14 – Ben Osinski reported someone had purchased a vehicle at auction and wrote a fraudulent check.

02/20/14 – Andy Cornwall of North Judson reported a male subject trespassing on his property who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

02/21/14 – Shots were reportedly fired near the intersection of 200 East and 350 South in Knox.

02/22/14 – A resident of the 1200 block of West 150 South in Knox reported a male subject had been calling her with a broken accent repeatedly, saying he was coming over and asking her to marry him.

02/23/14 – A resident of the 3100 block of West Toto Road in North Judson reported someone had broken into his garage and stolen several items.

Arrests:

02/21/14 – Curtis H. Debries, 25 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Burglary.

02/21/14 – Tracie Lee Clemons, 23 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

02/21/14 – Gary Grant Clemons, 30 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Incidents:
02/22/14 After a report of an active warrant for a Dena Meyers at 502 Magnolia Street, officers responded to the address and made the arrest. Meyers was transported to the Starke County Jail for a Porter County Warrant for Failture to Appear on a theft charge. Later that day, a stolen truck report was made from the same residence. This remains under investigation.

02/21/14 Several slide-offs and stuck vehicle reports were investigated by North Judson police due to road conditions. No damage or injury reports were made.

02/21/14 Police were dispatched to a residence on Mulberry in reference to missing medications. The complainants were advised that the department does not make theft reports for medications. The nurse and doctor were notified about the situation.

02/20/14 An employee at Carpenter’s oil reported to police that two males drove off and did not pay for gasoline. A short time later a subject returned to pay for the fuel, stating they had forgot to pay. An incident last week report by Good to Go Oil in reference to a drive off was also settled. Each party thought the other had paid.

02/19/14 Theft of some money out of a wallet at the North Judson-San Pierre Schools was made to police.

02/19/14 While doing patrols, officers located a school bus with the head lamps on in the area of the bus garage. The lights were turned off and the vehicle was secured.

02/18/14 North Judson Police issued nearly a dozen tags for vehicles that needed to be moved due to the snow on the streets. Within the town limits, all vehicles must be moved every 72 hours when on the streets, every 18 hours if parked in a town lot, or within 12 hours in the event more than three inches of snow falls in the downtown area. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely stated that every vehicle responded to the tags and several streets were able to be cleaned up a little better.

02/18/14 A welfare check was conducted on an elderly lady who was later discovered to have been moved in a motel room. All was fine.

02/17/14 Officers assisted several motorists with slide-offs and other vehicle issues due to severe weather. No damage reports were taken.

02/17/14 The fraudulent use of a credit card was reported. The card was taken from a home in North Judson and used in the Knox area. After a complete investigation, a report was provided to the Starke County Prosecutor’s office for request of a warrant.

02/22/14 Dena M. Meyers, 30, 502 Magnolia Street, of North Judson, IN arrested on a Porter County warrant for Failure to Appear.
