Incidents:
02/23/13 The Winamac Police Department is investigating a report that a 23-year-old woman may have ingested something in her drink which caused her to stop breathing. She was taken to Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

02/23/13 A truck pulled a trailer into a driveway and tore up the driveway trying to get out. It was still stuck in the driveway at the time the caller reported it to police.

02/23/13 A two vehicle accident occurred in front of the Good Oil Company. No injuries were reported.

02/22/13 A man was arrested after he was awoken from a nap. He was inside his car off the side of the road and a passerby thought he may have been in an accident, but when emergency personnel came upon the vehicle, the driver, Joshua Slavens, was just sleeping. A deputy later pulled him over and arrested him for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

02/22/13 Police were advised that a suspect was dumping trash. The suspect was told to clean up the trash and to cease the activity.

02/22/13 The driver of a Fed Ex truck told police he slid off the road. No injuries were reported.

02/22/13 A caller reported a possible drunk driver on U.S. 35.

02/22/13 The theft of a drain cover was reported.

02/21/13 A man called police and stated that a vehicle went by a residence at a high rate of speed and hit a mailbox in the 7000 block of 800 North.

02/20/13 A deputy hit a deer in his commission. Report was taken at the Sheriff’s Department.

02/20/13 An employee at Mike’s Salvage on 4868 N. Highway 421 reported the theft of copper wire and metals from 18 different mobile homes at the business.

02/20/13 An employee at Ace Hardware reported the theft of Craftsman tools.

02/20/13 An employee from Ace Hardware called police to report that a man stole lye from the store.

02/19/13 A Medaryville resident reported a battery.

02/19/13 A Medaryvile resident reported the theft of a cover over field tile.

02/18/13 A Francesville woman told police that some unknown person(s) attempted to blow up her mailbox. The mailbox was scorched inside and the lid blown open. Police continue to investigate this incident.

02/18/13 A Francesville resident reported the theft of a Polaris 4-wheeler from a rental property.

02/18/13 A Winamac resident came home to find the screen from the kitchen window had been cut.

02/18/13 A Winamac woman reported the theft of a purse.

02/22/13 Joshua Slavens, 35, Idaville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Prior.

02/21/13 Alexander Cubias-Reed, 23, of Medaryville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Failture to Register as a Sex or Violent Offender.

02/20/13 Victoria Kruizenga, 51, of Culver, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Possession of Marijuana.

02/18/13 Charles Grigsby, 20, Francesville, IN, arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Incidents:
02/20/13 North Judson Police responded to a property damage accident on State Road 10 and County Road 100 W. Valeri M. Gajda struck a deer with her vehicle. Officer Frank Thomas estimated the damages over $1,000.00.

02/19/13 North Judson Police Officer Darren Conley observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, southbound on County Road 250 W crossing State Road 10. Officer Conley finally caught up to the vehicle and performed a traffic stop at County Road 800 S. and County Road 600 W. The driver of the vehicle, David B. Ratcliff, 34, of San Pierre, was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. David was arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Fleeing Law Enforcement – Non Vehicle.

02/21/13 Jami Kotras reported the theft of $150 from her purse. Police continue to investigate this incident.

02/18/13 An employee at Zingo Express in Knox advised of a drive-off of $48.23 in fuel.

02/18/13 Robert Snowdon reported the rear passenger side taillight stolen off his truck.

02/15/13 Joe Hamilton told police that his jacket was stolen while at the USA Cafe in Knox.

02/15/13 Dawn Hurt reported the theft of hand-crafted strawberry plates, tools, clothes, pictures, wall hangings, ornaments, and bath towels from her home.

02/24/13 Timothy Davies, 34, 2101 S. State Road 23, Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Refusal, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle and Reckless Driving.

02/23/13 Keith Fornelli, 35, 3280 S. 350 E., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

02/21/13 Chad Scarborough, 30, 3240 S. 750, Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft and two active arrest warrants.
Holli Scarborough, 23, 907 W. Adams, Plymouth, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

02/20/13 Adam Shidler, 30, 3355 N. 300, Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Habitual Traffic Violator and Possession of Marijuana.

02/19/13 Elliott Earnest, 23, 702 Williams St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft.

02/19/13 – A resident of the 6600 block of South 500 West in North Judson told police she had received a fraudulent phone call stating her computer had been hacked.

02/19/13 – A woman reported she had been approached at her home in the 300 block of South 100 West in Knox by a woman trying to sell various items. A similar incident involving a beige van was reported in the 10100 block of East 500 North in Grovertown.

02/19/13 – A residential burglary was reported in the 5000 block of South Wesley Street in North Judson.

02/21/13 – A resident of the 6200 block of Wesst 400 South in North Judson reported she received a fraudulent phone call stating she had one $1 million and requesting she send a money order for $550.

02/21/13 – Dispatch received a call stating a vacant home in the 6500 block of South State Road 39 in North Judson had been broken into.

02/22/13 – A resident of the 2700 block of South 250 East in Knox told police that someone had trashed a rental residence and stolen items.

02/22/13 – A small refrigerator was reportedly stolen from a home in the 2000 block of East 200 South in Knox.

02/22/13 – Bridget Kurtzz of Knox told police that a theft had taken place at her home.

02/24/13 – Kelly Knight of Walkerton reported someone had broken into a residence she had been watching.

02/25/13 – An Amazon Kindle Fire was reportedly stolen from a residence in the 2200 block of East 200 South in Knox.

Arrests:

02/20/13 – Nathan August Greenwell, 41 of Knox, was arrested for Reckless Driving.

02/20/13 – John Langley Minix, 50 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

02/20/13 – Angel Mendoza, 29, was arrested on a charge of Operator Never Licensed.

02/23/13 – Bruce John Williams, 29 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicaated, False Reporting, Operator Never Licensed, and Trespass.
