Jeremiah Fort Sentenced in Starke Circuit Court

  
 

Jeremiah Fort was sentenced in Starke Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

He pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state to charges of Possession of a Syringe as a Class D felony and Operator of Vehicle Never Licensed as a Class C misdemeanor. Three other charges were dismissed.

Fort was sentenced to 24 months in the Department of Corrections to be served in the following fashion: 12 months will be served on home detention with electronic monitoring and 12 months will be served on home detention with daily reporting. Both home detention sentences will be served with Starke County Community Corrections.

Judge Kim Hall also allowed Fort to go to Porter-Starke Services for a dual diagnosis as Fort as some mental health issues that need to be addressed.
