The Henry F. Schricker Library in Knox will be closed Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 4–6, to allow workers to move into the newly created Children’s and Young Adult areas. Library Director Sheila Urwiler explained that all other locations of the library system will remain open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Hamlet branch will be open Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The San Pierre branch will be open Tuesday as well from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist patrons.

Urwiler emphasized that during this time, library patrons will still be able to access e-Books through OverDrive, digital magazines through Zinio, streaming video through IndieFlix, and most of the library’s databases from home.

No items will be due on the days the library is closed; however, they can still be returned through the book drop or at other branch locations. If you have any questions, visit www.starkecountylibrary.org for more information or call (574) 772-7323.
The $1.785 million project added 4000 square feet to the northwest part of the building which will feature a new children’s wing with more controlled access and better sound protection. The added space will also provide more room for computers and set aside a young adult section, currently situated in the loft area of the library.
