Former Starke County Man Dies after Fall from Building

Tom Bridegroom
A young man who left home to follow his dreams of a career in Hollywood is dead after falling from a roof while taking photos of a model. Tom Bridegroom was a talented musician and actor who had appeared briefly in a T.V. series.
The fall was from the fourth story of the building.
Bridegroom was originally from Starke County, but had graduated from Culver Academy in 2000. After graduation from Vassar College, he headed west.
He is the son of Martha and Norman Bridegroom. His mother is reportedly on the west coast arranging to bring the body back to Indiana for services and burial.

Tom, was an amazing person who was taken to early. He will be miss by many people all over the world. RIP Tom, we LOVE u & MISS u!!!

Tom spent many days at our house when in middle school with my daughter, Amy and their other friends. He was always talented, and they sang and danced all the time. He loved to have fun! My prayers are for his mom, Martha and all of his family and friends.

He was a great person I am so saddened by the loss. He was living out his dream and keeping his family in his heart n life as he kept going toward his dream. Martha is a dear friend she taught him to smile and say yes you can be what you want to be. Tommy was always smiling and if he seen me he always came over and said Hi. God bless him and hold his family members in your loving arms Dear Jesus. I pray this to you oh LORD amen.

I am so sorry to hear about your son . My son Tommy Brown was a friend of your son many years ago. My Tommy passed in 2002 from cancer. Again I am sorry for your loss.

This was such a tragic loss and my sympathy goes out to the Bridegroom family and to Tommy’s Life Partner, Shane Bitney Crone.

Still miss Tom do much. Looking forward to the documentary to be made about his life, his tragic death and the love that he left behind,
