Severe Weather Potential High through Wednesday

The National Weather Service is warning of potential severe storms through Wednesday evening.

Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, flooding, lightning, and tornadoes are possible. The highest threat for severe weather will be late Wednesday morning through the afternoon for northern and central Indiana.

Severe weather may happen at work so it’s important to know what steps to take to ensure safety in the workplace. Check on a severe weather plan and find an interior area to take shelter that’s away from windows.

Have a family communication plan before storms strike and assemble an emergency supply kit with enough food, water and other essentials like medication. Keep necessary electronics charged and make sure they’re plugged into a surge protector. You are encouraged to keep a battery-powered radio in your kit to hear weather updates and other community information.
