Man Arrested After Found Sleeping in a Home

A Bristol man was arrested Monday after he was found sleeping in a Marshall County home where he unlawfully gained entry.

The homeowners had spent the night away from the home and found 35-year-old Travis E. Hill asleep inside the residence when they returned.

Police arrived at the home in the 1300 block of West Madison Street and learned that Hill had previously been in an abusive relationship with one of the residents. Evidence at the scene indicated that he forced open a window and made entry into the home.

Hill was arrested on preliminary charges of Residential Entry as a Class D felony and Criminal Mischief as a Class A misdemeanor. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail with a $5,000 cash bond.
