INDOT Construction on Hold during Memorial Day Weekend

Road construction that is done by INDOT crews will come to halt over the Memorial Day weekend.

The road work moratorium will continue until the morning hours of Tuesday, May 27 to allow drivers a safer and more efficient holiday travel weekend.

Road restrictions will be removed to ease traffic flow for the influx of holiday drivers. Some closures and restrictions will remain on larger projects that cannot be safely reopened to traffic for the weekend including the bridge replacement project on State Road 23, south of Walkerton. The highway will remain closed between Union Road and County Road 900 North. That project is expected to be complete in mid-June, weather permitting.
