The planned closure of part of Pulaski County Road 60 West may be revisited during tonight’s county commissioners meeting. Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers is scheduled to discuss the closure with the board, according to the advance agenda.

The commissioners voted to close the road last month at the request of BraunAbility, which operates plants on either side. The closure would help improve safety in the area, according to company officials. It would also allow them to apply for a $200,000 employee training grant from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, which requires participation from the county. Utility vehicles would continue to have access to the site, according to the plan.

In other business, the county commissioners will consider various insurance options for the county. They’ll also hear regular reports from several department heads and a year-end report from Building Inspector Doug Hoover.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 at the Pulaski County Courthouse.
