‘Body Smart’ Program Comes to Eastern Pulaski Schools

Students at the Eastern Pulaski School Corporation are learning how to protect themselves from child molestation and inappropriate behavior.

Superintendent Dan Foster says retired police officer Terry Hall was scheduled to give his “Body Smart” presentation Wednesday to students at the elementary and middle schools.

“It’s basically allowing kids the opportunity to understand that even though this might be a relative, they might be not so appropriate in maintaining the proper boundaries,” Foster explains. “And so it’s just kind of letting students be aware that that can be a concern and what to do if that is a concern and how that happens.”

Foster says the presentations are age-appropriate for the specific grade levels. Parents had the chance to learn about the program Tuesday night.
