Authorities Identify Body Found in Wildlife Area, Schedule Autopsy

 
 

Authorities in LaPorte County have identified the man found dead Friday at the Kingsbury Fish & Wildlife Area. An autopsy is scheduled Monday to determine the cause and manner of his death.

Officials with the DNR and LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department have identified the victim as 41-year-old Mark Huber. They say he lived in Goshen for the past several months but is originally from the Cleveland, Ohio, area.

Sheriff’s deputies and conservation officers responded Friday morning around 10 a.m. to the area of Tracy Road west of First Line Road and found his body.

The investigation into Huber’s death is still open. Anyone with information is asked to call the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 219-326-7700, ext. 2404.
