Starke Poll Workers Urged to Attend Voting Machine Tests, Training Sessions

Starke County poll workers are encouraged to attend tomorrow’s vote machine testing if possible to familiarize themselves with the technology. Vendor MicroVote will test the electronic machines at 1 p.m. outside the clerk’s office at the Starke County Courthouse. Members of the public are also welcome to come see how the ballot will appear and how the machines work.

The Starke County Election Board yesterday set three days for formal poll worker training. Sessions will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 26th and Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Starke County Courthouse.

The clerk’s office will mail letters to all of the workers, and the local Democratic and Republican Party chairs will contact them as well.
