Pulaski Commissioners Plan Update on Industrial Park Development

Pulaski County CourthouseThe Pulaski County Commissioners will receive an update from representatives of the CDC when they meet Monday evening.

The Advisory Commission on Industrial Development hosted a public meeting on Friday afternoon to discuss the possible acquisition of land for the west side, rail-served industrial park. The site is planned for future growth with the help of a federal grant.

Part of that expansion depends on the sale of a portion of county-owned farm land to help meet the federal matching requirements. The land acquisition process has been negotiated over several months following appraisals gathered for the site under consideration.

Providing space for industrial development is considered an essential piece of industrial development and job attraction in local communities in Indiana.

The Commissioners will also consider a contract being proposed by the county highway department. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. EDT at the Pulaski County Courthouse.
