The Starke County Community Foundation has some grant deadlines coming up at the end of this week, and they hope to garner as much interest as possible.
Grants through the community foundation assist organizations seeking monies for various projects. They are intended, however, to be awarded to groups that provide support throughout Starke County.
Public schools are eligible for the grants with a maximum possible $500 distributed to educational institutions. Knox, North Judson-San Pierre, and Oregon-Davis are eligible to receive the grant funds.
Apart from the community foundation grants, the Maude Brown and Henry F. Schricker Endowment grant is also available to be awarded to benefit students with history projects in 4th through 12th grade.
There are a couple of other grants supporting agriculture and leadership and philanthropy initiatives in the Starke County area.
The deadline to apply for each of the grants is Friday, October 7th.
