The first item on the agenda for their 6 p.m. meeting is the opening of bids for the work. They will be taken under advisement and awarded during a special-called meeting next week.

The commissioners will also open bids for the Bridge 50 project and get a report from Starke County Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler on Purdue’s intersection recommendations.

County Plan Commission Director Terry Stephens will discuss a proposed confined feeding operation ordinance with the commissioners, and EMS Director Keith Emigh will share his monthly report.

The commissioners will also consider an agreement for the coroner to store bodies and discuss office space for the coroner. Also on the agenda is garbage disposal at The Pocket at Bass Lake. The commissioners meeting will take place in the annex meeting room.
