Medaryville Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges Following Stabbing

user42762-1471553001-media1_bdc6c1_240_159_PrsMe_The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted murder following a Wednesday incident in Medaryville.

Deputies responded to the area of 1050 West and County Road 400 North after receiving a call regarding a possible stabbing.

Responders located a man on the scene who had sustained a stab wound to the chest. The victim was assisted at the scene by Pulaski County EMS personnel and transported to South Bend for additional treatment.

According to a news release, the victim allegedly identified the perpetrator while at the scene as 25-year-old Christopher Robbins. The nature of the events leading up to the alleged stabbing are still under investigation.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department says Robbins fled the residence prior to their arrival, but was located in a wooded area near the property. Robbins was arrested and transported to the Pulaski County Jail.

He is being held on felony counts of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, and Domestic Battery.

The medical status of the victim is not known.
