Starke County 4-H Fair Starts Today

 
 

The Starke County 4-H Fair gets underway today in Hamlet. WKVI will be broadcasting live from the fairgrounds from 2 until 6 p.m. today, leading up to the 4-H Club parade and opening ceremonies.

Bring your appetite, as the Grovertown Conservation Club’s Ham & Bean dinner starts at 4:30 p.m., along with the open class bake sale.

The 4-H Club and Leader recognition, Fair Board Scholarships, 10 year member recognition, Junior Leader Scholarships and 4-H Junior Leader Achievement Royalty will all be part of the official fair kickoff at 6:15 p.m. in the show arena.

After they wrap up, WKVI is proud to present a performance by local band “Classic Vinyl.” A Seisho Jitsu martial arts demonstration will also take place this evening from 8 until 9 p.m.

Fair festivities continue through Saturday. Admission is free. Carnival rides will be open from 6 until 10 p.m. each evening and Saturday from 1 until 4 p.m. and 5 until 9 p.m. The exhibit buildings will be open each day from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
