Necessity was the mother of invention for the owner of a new business in downtown Knox. Beth Adamik needed a place to feed her love of popcorn, so with the blessing of her husband she’s opening Poppin’ Off Popcorn at 4 North Pearl Street. Flavors include sugar cream pie, which is candy coated. There’s also Cincinnati chili, bacon cheddar cheese, ranch, coconut caramel crunch and caramel. The Chicago-style mix is also a popular product.
Adamik enjoys experimenting with different flavor combinations. She says flavors will vary, and she’s always open to customer suggestions.
The store is opening for business today (Saturday), but the grand opening is scheduled Saturday, July 2nd to coincide with the fun day in the park festivities in downtown Knox prior to the city’s fireworks display.
