West Central Sets Fees for 2016-17

West Central School CorporationSchool lunch prices are going up slightly for students at West Central in the fall. Superintendent Don Street says the increases are in response to state and federal guidelines and are necessary to ensure continued government funding of the program. Rather than make a drastic increase, the West Central School Board opted to go up a little at a time.

Elementary school lunches will go up 5-cents each, and students at the middle and high schools will pay an additional 20-cents per lunch. Student breakfast prices are unchanged.

The West Central School Board also set textbook rental fees for 2016-17 when they met Thursday evening. Even though they’ve gone up, Street says they remain very competitive with other districts in the area.
