Oregon-Davis Students to Take Part in Mini-Relay for Life

Oregon-Davis students will once again be doing their part in the fight against cancer. Next week, the school corporation will hold its 12th annual Mini-Relay for Life.

As part of the event, students will be raising money and walking, all while learning how to stay healthy and prevent cancer. The Mini-Relay for Life will take place Friday, May 20 from 7:25 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include music, games, class banners, and luminaria to commemorate family members and friends who’ve faced the disease.

Last year’s event raised over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. Over the past 11 years, Oregon-Davis students have raised a total of nearly $7,600 with the Mini-Relays.

Starke County’s full-scale Relay for Life will take place June 17 and 18 at the Starke County Fairgrounds.
