Parents of students who might benefit from the remedial session have been notified. The intersession is part of the balanced calendar, which several area corporations adopted and implemented this year.
Interim Superintendent Jim Dermody advises the school is “actively open” to transfer students for the 2016-17 school year.
He told the school board Monday night the staff is reviewing summer maintenance projects.
Dermody also reported on recent legislative activity, which will discontinue the current
ISTEP testing program after the 2016-17 school year in favor of a new exam. Board members will be further informed at the spring meeting of the Indiana School Board Association in Plymouth, April 27th.
The next meeting of the board is April 18th, one week later than the usual date of the second Monday of the month.
