North Judson Man Killed In Interstate Wreck

A North Judson man is dead after being struck by a semi last night on the Borman Expressway. Indiana State Police say a tractor-trailer driven by a 42-year-old Hammond man hit an unknown object around 9:45 p.m. on westbound 80/94 near the Ripley Street exit.

Officers found a white man wearing dark clothing on the shoulder of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of blunt force trauma. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Nicholas Ryan Webb of North Judson.

Officers did not find a disabled vehicle belonging to Webb in the area. It’s unclear why he was walking on the interstate or where he was going.
