Minor Injuries Reported Following Investigation of Multi-Vehicle Pileup in LaPorte County

The investigation has been completed on a crash in LaPorte County on Tuesday that left several of the parties injured.

As was reported on Wednesday, a semi tractor-trailer hauling steel coils struck the rear of a vehicle stopped in the left eastbound lane while waiting behind two other vehicles. The vehicle struck was waiting behind two other vehicles waiting to turn into a private school in the area.

The semi tractor-trailer struck a Honda Oddessy, which allegedly proceeded to strike a Kia, which struck a Lexus. The initial crash caused the chain reaction according to the report from LaPorte County authorities.

The passengers of the three passenger cars were all transported to area hospitals, but investigators say none of the injuries are thought to be life threatening. One of the vehicle drivers complained of pain in their shoulder region.
