INDOT Launches Interactive Project Map

The Indiana Department of Transportation is making it a little easier to keep track of its projects taking place in the near future. INDOT has launched an online, interactive tool featuring a map of the state.

Users can click on one of the 92 counties to see a list of road, bridge, and trail projects planned there over the next 18 months. It also says which route is affected for each project, the date contractor bids are planned to be opened, the cost of the project, and the type of work being done. There are also links to Google Maps to show exactly where construction will be taking place.

Governor Mike Pence said in a statement that the tool will allow Hoosiers to follow along as the state invests in its transportation network. He says his administration proposes to spend $4.6 billion on transportation over the next five years.

The INDOT Investment Map can be found here.
