Culver Schools Reaches Initial Fundraising Goal for Marketing Project

Culver Community School CorporationA fundraising campaign to help the Culver Community Schools Corporation improve its marketing efforts has reached its first goal. Last week, a GoFundMe account created by a group of volunteers working on the marketing component of the school corporation’s strategic plan surpassed $6,000. That’s enough money to pay for a new brand and logo family created by VIP Branding.

According to an update posted on the GoFundMe page, the new logos will be be unveiled at the February 1st School Board meeting. School board members already got a preview last month.

However, the GoFundMe campaign will remain open in order to raise funds to purchase materials with the new logo, as well as to pay for ongoing marketing expenses. The branding project is part of an effort to attract more families to the corporation, at a time when it’s seen a decline in per-student funding from the state. This drop in funding has already resulted in the elimination of Julie Berndt’s assistant principal position at the end of the school year, with more staff cuts planned.
