Winamac Couple Arrested on Heroin Charges

A man and woman from Winamac are jailed in Fulton County following a narcotics investigation.

Officers from the CLEAN Team and Rochester Police Department made contact with 42-year-old Amanda Davis and 27-year-old Steven Terry, both of Winamac, when their vehicle pulled into the parking lot of a Rochester business.

Terry was wanted on a Fulton County warrant for a probation violation. A search of Davis, Terry and their vehicle reportedly turned up heroin, syringes, prescription medication, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the incident report.

Both are charged with possession of heroin. Terry faces additional charges for dealing methamphetamine, possession of a scheduled IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

The CLEAN Team is comprised of officers from 11 agencies who have dedicated resources to fight narcotics in Fulton and Miami Counties. CLEAN stands for Combined Law Enforcement Against Narcotics.  The main focus of the CLEAN Team is narcotics enforcement with an emphasis on methamphetamine related crimes.
