Starke County Bicentennial Committee Finalizes Promotional Placemat

Bicentennial Placemant DesignStarke County restaurants will play a key role in promoting local activities surrounding Indiana’s bicentennial celebration. The county bicentennial committee has finalized a placemat design featuring a map and local historical information. It will be distributed free of charge early next year to local restaurants.

One of the big activities surrounding the bicentennial celebration is an Olympic-style torch relay through all 92 Indiana counties. The flame will pass through Starke County on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016. The torch relay route is depicted on the placemant.

Advertising will be sold around the edges of the placemat to defray printing costs. Contact the Starke County Chamber of Commerce at 574-772-5548 or email for more information about placemat advertising or to obtain a copy for your business.
